Fire Protection Inspection And Testing Technician

Since then, we have established a solid reputation as a leader in the installation, maintenance and supply of Fire Protection solutions for clients in a wide variety of industries.

Our team has a high level of technical capability: known as being some of the most experienced people in the Fire Protection industry and are often called upon by others for our expertise. We adopt best practice in WHS and all our quality management systems, and use simPRO as part of our client management system.

Our Service Department is seeking to expand our team with a Full Time position available for an experienced Inspection and Testing Technician. The run will be Metro based, but visits to Adelaide Hills and Barossa and Country areas may also be required. 

Inspection and testing Technician:

RNW Fire Services are looking for an applicant with competence in Inspection and Testing of the following:

• Fire Alarm Systems.
• Evacuation/EWIS Systems.
• Sprinkler Systems.
• Hydrant systems.
• Fire Pumps.
• Portable Fire Equipment.
• Fire Blankets 
• Fire Hose reels.
• Emergency Shower/eye wash stations. 
• Exit and Emergency Lights.
• Fire Doors.
• Special Hazards.

 Attributions:

• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Highly motivated 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to speak directly with clients to coordinate repairs and schedule works.
• Legible handwriting.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to use an IPAD and work with Simpro and excel on these devices.
• Ability to plan and complete workloads in an efficient manner
• Be competent in the use of power tool and understand basic fixing methods.
• Work flexible hours and overtime.
• Travel away where required.
• Must be a permanent Australian Resident.
• Professional personal presentation.
• Ability to work in a team 
• Communicate with management. 
• Must be able to drive a manual vehicle

Qualification, Licences and Clearances:

• Preferably hold a NDIS & DCSI Clearance.
• Preferably Certification in testing CPP20511 
• Police clearance. 
• Preferably hold a EAHL Licence. 
• Restricted Plumbing Workers Registration SA
• Current Australian drivers licence.
• White Card

A Full Time position will be awarded to the successful candidate with a company car (take home), IPad, uniform, a phone allowance and above award hourly rate.
