We are a leading Fire Protection contractor working on Tier 1 major construction projects having an excellent repour within our staff allowing IFS to maintain strong relationships with our key clientele. To this end, we can demonstrate a significant pipeline of work to the successful candidate which further promotes a continuous and sustainable working environment. Subsequently, an opportunity is now available for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Project Management of Wet Fire Protection Systems
Extensive knowledge of Wet Fire System Design & Construction
General Knowledge of Dry Fire Systems
Assist Development of Schematic Designs & Performance Specifications for D&C contracts.
Review / Audit Consultants designs & identify potential non-conformances &/or value management options
Certification of Fire Protection Systems Design & Installation
Procurement and competitive purchasing
Manage Employees & Subcontractors to ensure Productivity, Time, Budget & QA constraints are maintained
Prepare RFI's, provide project advice & general correspondence periodically throughout course of project to Design Out Our Risk.
Preparation of Variation Claims & Progress Claims
Project Costs to Complete / WIP reporting
Proficient Use & Understanding of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Attendance to Design Coordination / Subcontractor Meetings
Liaising with Builders, Architects, Tradesmen, Engineers
Implementation of QA & WH&S practices & documentation
Thorough understanding of Building Code of Australia & Australian Standards
Skills and experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in Fire Protection Project Management or Design (AU)
Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Detailed Design or Similar
Preference to Individuals with FPAS Accreditation
Microsoft Office, Word, Excell, Powerpoint & Project
Hyena Modelling / Hydraulic Calculations
Occupational Health & Safety Management
