Primary Purpose of Role:
- Responsible for leading the development and implementation of Operational
Doctrine for SACFS - Responsible for providing strategic advice to the SACFS Executive in the
development and dissemination of Operational Doctrine for the SACFS. - Lead the development of clear and concise Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs) according to best practice, engaging with operational stakeholders and experts to ensure material is relevant - Maintain the extant and strict publication schedule and dissemination process
surrounding Operational Doctrine. - Work with diverse internal and external stakeholders to develop consensus on
matters relating to joint responses within the Emergency Services Sector - Develop and consult on Service Level Agreements including briefing up to
executives on issues and risks - Build and maintain relationships within the Emergency Services Sector (including Nationally) to enable the resolution of issues relating to interagency operations
- Develop a framework for future agency doctrine based on findings of reviews and in line with best practice doctrine principles
- Represent the SACFS on State and National operational doctrine groups and
committees - Support the review of joint policies and procedures primarily between the SACFS, SAMFS and, where applicable, the SASES.
- Contribute to programs and projects which involve operational policy and

development and implementation of consistent operational policy and procedure where possible.
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate-level qualification in a relevant discipline or extensive demonstrated experience

ASO6
$97,022 - $102,626
