Your new company

This government agency is looking for a Firewall Security Administrator to join their established Network & Security team in a contract role until 31st December 2024. You will have the opportunity of working at a government agency located in Sydney.

Your new role

As a Firewall Administrator, your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Juniper and Checkpoint network firewalls, as well as other network equipment. This role demands a strong grasp of network protocols, system administration, and troubleshooting methodologies.

What you'll need to succeed

As a Firewall Security Administrator, you will be required to possess the following skills and experience:

• In-depth understanding of core IT operations infrastructure systems and configurations.
• Hands-on experience of administering Juniper-based network solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols – such as BGP, OSPF and IPsec; and awareness of security threats.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.
• Candidates must be either a Permanent Resident (PR) in Australia or an Australian or New Zealand citizen to be considered
