Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Firewall Administrator to join our government client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, management, and maintenance of our client's firewall infrastructure.
Responsibilities:

• Configure, deploy, and maintain firewall systems to protect networks from unauthorised access and intrusions.
• Monitor firewall logs and traffic patterns to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Provide 24 x 7 coverage on First and 2nd level support as required by being on call.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and trends to proactively enhance firewall configurations and security measures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in firewall administration or network security.
• In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies, configuration and maintain and maintenance of Checkpoint, Juniper routers, firewalls, and other network equipment.
• Hands-on experience with firewall configuration, rule management, and VPN deployment.
• In-depth knowledge of IT operations infrastructure systems and configurations
• Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
