The Opportunity

We now have exciting opportunities available for Gas Fitters/Plumbers to join our Operations team in Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent Full-time basis.

Reporting to the Supervisor - First Response & Metering, you will play a key role in providing the safe and timely delivery of field activities in relation to gas escapes, disconnection and reconnection of Domestic and Commercial services, including regulators and metering equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work as part of an efficient team under the general direction of a Supervisor or Co-ordinator
  • Complete supply investigation & rectification activities
  • Respond and Classify gas leaks, as per the APA Group Leak Management Plan
  • Pinpoint probable sources of gas leaks using equipment provided
  • Undertake activities relating to re-light appliances of end-users
  • Maintain constant awareness of personal safety and that of the colleagues and the general public
  • Participate in a rotating roster with occasional weekend, night and afternoon work

Your background

  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Licensed or registered gas fitter
  • C Class driver's licence
  • Demonstrated experience in gas distribution or field maintenance will be highly regarded
  • Customer focused, with strong communication skills
