Are you a fishing fanatic with a passion for the environment and community? Fishcare Victoria wants YOU to inspire the next generation of responsible anglers! We're hiring a Ballarat & Central Highlands Facilitator (1 day per week - potential increase in hours subject to funding) to make a splash with our educational programs.
What You’ll Do
- Recruit & Train Volunteers: Scout out enthusiastic volunteers and give them the skills they need to rock our programs.
- Run Awesome Programs: Lead the “All Ability – Fishing is for Everyone” initiative and make fishing accessible and fun for all.
- Promote Fishcare: Be our social media star and event ambassador.
- Secure Funding: Help us reel in grants and funding to keep our programs thriving.
- Build Relationships: Connect with community groups, schools, and local agencies to spread the Fishcare message.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Community engagement, volunteer management, project management, and a love for fishing.
- Skills: Great communicator, super organized, tech-savvy, and able to handle a crowd.
- Bonus Points: Background in Fisheries/Natural Resource Management, First Aid certification, and a knack for public speaking.
- Must-Haves: Driver’s license, own reliable car, and a Working with Children Check.
