About the role
This position will be for a conventional Fitter and Turner / Machinist. Both Full-time and part-time hours are available. The scope of work will involve working on a variety of small to medium sized projects in our workshop. Your role will include:
-Setting up and operating manual lathe and milling machines
-Reading and understanding engineering drawings
-Using precision measuring instruments
-Working independently and as part of a team
-Adhere to Work health and safety procedures
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following key attributes:
-Trade qualifications
-Be able to interpret and understand engineering drawings
-Competently operate manual Lathe and Milling machines
-Ability to work to tight tolerances
-Attention to detail
-Have a strong understanding and commitment to safety
-Basic CNC machining experience is an advantage
