About the Role

Primary responsibilities:
- Manufacture engineering components using a range of workshop machines including lathes, milling machines, planers, drills etc.
- Installation and monitoring of plant and equipment
- Basic troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns, and fault finding
- Participate and support the preventative maintenance programs
- Provide direction and guidance in the workshop areas, including support of apprentices
- Apply fabrication skills as required
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Completed Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting Turning)
- Experience using the full range of workshop machinery
- Good organisational, planning and decision making skills
- Be safety focussed with a focus on housekeeping
The following qualifications are highly desirable, however, we are prepared to provide training to people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:
- Working at Heights
- Basic Riggers
- Dogger

About the Business
With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol and sustainable agricultural products.
