The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Fixed Plant Fitter to join our high performing Processing maintenance team at our Duketon South operations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and effectively carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance activities in a Fixed Plant environment.
This is a site based role, working on an 8:6 FIFO roster (day shift only).
About the Role
- Inspecting the workplace for hazards and promoting safe work practices
- Safely and effectively delivering execution of planned & unplanned maintenance activities
- Resolving on the job work issues
- Ensuring work procedures are followed
- Relieving team members in the work place as required
- Referring unresolved issues and problems to the supervisor.
About You
- Trade qualified and competency certificates in mechanical maintenance
- Relevant tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and EWP
- Crane / Dogging / Rigging tickets highly regarded
- Basic / Intermediate scaffolding ticket an advantage (or at least willing to undertake training towards this)
- WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence (manual)
- Demonstrated post trade experience in the mining or heavy industry within a process plant environment
- Knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems
- Proven understanding of risk assessment and safety management systems
- Possesses a team first work ethic and a desire to perform tasks safely and efficiently
- Enthusiastically finds problems and assumes ownership of issues and solutions facing the operation
- A self-starter who is motivated, demonstrating initiative to extend themselves.
