SalaryA residential opportunity at our Utah Point operation in Port Hedland exists for a highly motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our well-established team across our Fixed Plant Machinery.
The main focus of this role is maintaining stackers, conveyors and workshop equipment at Qube's Utah point port facility. As continuous improvement is a strong focus, project work is often required.
- Location: Utah Point Port Facility, Port Hedland
- Roster: Residential Shift Roster
- Residential: Housing Allowance payment provided
- Salary: Earning potential $149K + Overtime paid at additional rate

- Strong mechanical fault finding skills
- Assist in delivering effective mechanical decisions to ensure plant reliability and operability
- Have a good understanding and commitment to mechanical statutory obligations
- Good time management and communication with other work groups
- Safety focused and work well in a team environment
- Experience in a mining environment
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate - Essential
- Minimum of two years mining experience - Highly desirable
- High risk license, EWP, fork lift - Highly desirable
- Experience in Fixed Plant and Mobile Machinery Equipment
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
- Suitable skills using Microsoft Office, Excel, Power point and maintenance management systems
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Ability to work well within a small team environment
