THE ROLE
Join us in a pivotal role where you will:
- Design, promote, and execute preventative maintenance on plant, machinery, and equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
- Engage in new design, installation, and relocation of existing machines and equipment.
- Conduct overhauls and repairs on machines and equipment.
- Ensure the safety and efficiency of machines and equipment, undertaking general mechanical servicing and repair works.
- Diagnose faults from electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Guide and assist in the training and development of apprentices and laborers.
- Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to relevant legislation and procedures.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Participate in construction and maintenance projects.
- Deliver high-quality customer service.
- Facilitate shift handover to ensure safety and operational requirements are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and secure storage of equipment.
- Actively engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Report equipment issues to management.
- Ensure contractors adhere to schedules and efficiency standards.
- Regularly review costs with suppliers.

- Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm; Saturday, 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.
ABOUT YOU
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Trade qualification (Certificate III with two years of on-the-job training OR Certificate IV or higher in relevant field).
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience or equivalent qualification.
- High Risk Work Licenses.
- Proven experience in Metal, Manufacturing, or Mining Industry on heavy Fixed/Mobile plant equipment.
- Proficiency in maintenance and operation of fixed/mobile plant machinery.
- Comprehensive understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport.
- Problem-solving abilities and logical reasoning skills.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Experience in safety checks on plant equipment, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Pump maintenance experience across various types.
- Familiarity with leading policies and procedures.
- Valid driver's license.
