About the Position
We are looking for our next Qualified Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle Qualified) who can work in a highly collaborative team environment with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced Office environment. This role will require a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality and a positive and outgoing attitude, and a natural ability to develop relationships. The Service Controller - Commercial Vehicles is responsible for the issue of authorities for the repair and maintenance of Commercial Vehicles, EWP, Forklift, Trailers, Yellow goods, etc of fleet vehicles (and assist on the Pass phone over-flow) to the ORIX repairer network, and processing of such authorities.
What you will be required to do
- Issue authority approvals for vehicle repair and maintenance to repairer network - KPI benchmarked.
- Assist with the Breakdown facility and be available for after-hours breakdown calls.
- Reconcile and process invoices relating to repairs and maintenance - KPI benchmarked.
- Identify vehicles with poor service history, notify account management team to ensure vehicle is serviced appropriately.
- Monitor maintenance operating costs and preventative maintenance programs and highlight any problem areas.
- Ensure Warranty and/or Goodwill-Policy is sourced.
- Capture savings as/when negotiated.
- Maintain a professional harmonious relationship with the repairer network.
- Work complies with Relevant State or Federal Legislation.
- To represent ORIX in the marketplace with emphasis on maintaining the highest standards of ethics and professional standing in accordance with the ORIX Code of Conduct.
- Awareness of and compliance with health and safety legislation and with established policies and procedures ensuring that work is conducted in a manner which safeguards the incumbent and their co-workers
Skills We Are Looking For
- Qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with minimum 5 years of practical experience post apprenticeship.
- Relevant experience with Commercial, EWP, Forklift , Hydraulic applications.
- 2-3 years' service advisor experience desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience.
- Ability to analyse problem situations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Computer literate in MS Suite, Email and Internet.
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills.
- Knowledge of NHVL (Cor)
