Our client Berendsen Fluid Power, is looking for a Fitter Machinist Apprentice to join the team, specialising in Hydraulic Services, delivering the most comprehensive suite of fluid power products and services in Australia.

Job Details
You will develop the skills in machining to operate a number of metalwork machines including lathes and mills to shape, slot and bore stock or components as well as learning to examine and evaluate drawings and specifications for requirements, repair and maintain hydraulic cylinders and use oxy set equipment all while working in a workshop environment with experienced tradespeople.
Key duties include (but not limited to):
- Assisting trades in day-to-day activities
- Stripping and pulling apart mechanical/hydraulic components
- Painting
- Cleaning
- Measuring components
- Reassembling mechanical/hydraulic components
Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter and earn your MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
About You
- Excellent communication skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Current driver's licence
- Strong safety focus
- Construction White Card
- Positive attitude and genuine interest in the trade
- Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and an understanding of hand tools
- Willing to work, listen and learn what the tradespeople teach you
- Completed a pre-apprenticeship or have had some hands-on experience (highly regarded, but not essential)
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
