Form of workBased in Salisbury South, Ezy-Fit Engineering is an Australian owned and operated designer and manufacturer of high-quality hydraulic cylinders as well as other bespoke engineering activities. Our factory premises comprises of 5,500 sq metres and houses state-of-the-art CNC machinery as well as traditional lathes and mills. Our welding capability comprises of Mig, Tig and Submerged Arc.
Due to ongoing growth and growing demand for Australian made products, Ezy-Fit Engineering has a position available for a trade qualified fitter and turner to operate our CENTRE LATHEs on day shift.
Core Competencies:
- Certificate III or higher
- Thorough knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes
- Good communication skills
- Fluently read and write English and be an Australian Citizen
- Have the right to work in Australia
- Able to effectively interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience in operating key manufacturing equipment
The ideal candidate for our large turning section will be someone who has exceptional skills using manual lathes to turn large components up to 600mm diameter and 8 metres long to exacting tolerances. For our smaller manual turning you will have exceptional skills turning components up to 300mm diameter and 3 metres long.
In these roles you will be expected to:
- Carry out the manufacture of products and components in accordance with work orders, drawings and other instructions.
- Assist with material and component selection and handling.
- Maintain identification and traceability of manufactured products.
- Carry out and record the results of in-process inspections on manufactured components and assemblies according to instructions.
- Report non-conformities to the Leading Hand or Production Manager.
- Look for opportunities of continuous improvement within the organisation.
- Operate in a safe manner and in accordance with WH&S Regulations.
- Other duties from time to time as directed and trained to do.
