We are now seeking an experienced Fitter/Welder to join our team in Landsdale, Western Australia. We are looking for someone who holds the relevant Certificate III, or has at least three (3) of years of work experience in the role. Previous experience with microfine plant & equipment is preferable (but not required).
As a Fitter/Welder your everyday responsibilities will be to:
· Reading drawings to fit / assemble microfine cement production plant and supporting machinery / plant (from premanufactured pieces), including welding the relevant parts together;
· Designing, fabricating & installing/welding miscellaneous parts and fittings required (cutting and welding metal pieces to form parts required to be fitted);
· Assembling conveyor assembly for cement delivery and packaging;
· Assembling bagging machine with various parts required to be designed and manufactured on site; and
· Checking fitted / assembled parts for precision.
In addition, the right candidate will be required to:
· Have good communication skills;
· Be proactive with a can do attitude;
· Be reliable; and
· Be able to work within a team or autonomously with little to no supervision.
This is a full-time position offering a generous salary between $70,000 to $99,000 plus superannuation to the right candidate (depending on experience).
