Stawell Gold Mine is an underground gold mine located in Stawell; 236 km north-west of Melbourne. This historic region is known for its rich heritage in the exploration, discovery and production of gold.
Stawell Gold Mines currently have an opening for Fixed Plant Fitter. This is residential position will be permanent full-time engagements.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
- Health Safety & Environment
- Provide general maintenance services to Fixed Plant assets both surface and underground.
- Maintain workshops and tools/equipment to the standards required
- Be paid as per the Enterprise Agreement
Skills and experience required:
- Trade Qualification Cert III in Engineering (Fitter & Turner, Boilermaker, Automotive Mechanic )
- EWP Licence ( Desirable but not essential, training available )
- Forklift licence ( Desirable but non essential, training available )
- Working at Heights ( Desirable but non essential, training available )
- Confined space ( Desirable but non essential, training available )
- MR Drivers Licence ( Desirable but non essential, training available )
- Experience working in a mining and/or heavy industry environment desirable
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
