About the Opportunity
As Fleet Operations Manager, you will support the ongoing management of RACV’s fleet through ensuring a focus on operational excellence and efficiency improvements. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow, and in turn make an impact and drive change.

With a focus on reporting and continuous improvement, we are looking for someone who can:
- Manage the operational requirements of the fleet covering vehicle servicing, infringements, ensuring repairs and maintenance are undertaken to reduce operational risk, drive efficiency and minimise business disruption without any compromise to driver safety.
- Develop proactive fleet management reporting, technology and operational practices to deliver against business objectives as set out through annual business plans, RACV’s Fleet Policy or from RACV’s fleet strategy.
- Manage the acquisition, disposal and regulatory compliance of fleet vehicles in line with legislative requirements.
- Maintain currency and accuracy of all fleet business records
- Create and implement financial controls which deliver accurate operational costs for budgeting purposes, underpinned by reporting procedures
- Monitor use of Grey Fleet across RACV to ensure safety standards are maintained, risks and costs minimised
- Manage the acquisition, disposal, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of fleet vehicles in line with legislative requirements
- Manage payment of all operational and capital vehicle expenditure
- Monitor Fleet industry trends and other market information relevant to RACV’s fleet
What you’ll need to be successful
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar Fleet Operations/management role (highly desirable)
- Intermediate MS Excel proficiency
- Experience in the management of a large and extensive fleet portfolio, with a focus on commercial objectives
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a broad stakeholder group located across Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland, and within cross-functional teams
- Professional skills and capability in the development, implementation and management of fleet policies, processes, & budgets
- Applicants must hold a current driver’s license
- Please note this position will require some travel across Victoria and may require additional travel to QLD and Tas
