About the Role
As a Float Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in providing support to different legal teams as needed. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks across different practice areas.
- Co-ordinating meetings, emails and diary management
- Liaising with clients and fee earners at all levels;
- Proof reading, drafting high quality correspondence and preparing legal documents
- Edits and amendments including track changes/mark ups and formatting;
- Opening and closing of matters including file archiving;
- Processing credit card expenses;
- Time recording, preparation and processing of monthly billing;
- Inputting and maintaining client data;
- Printing, scanning and copying; and
- General administrative duties.
Skills & Experience
- A strong attention to detail;
- The ability to prioritise and work efficiently in a time-sensitive environment;
- A personable, collaborative and friendly disposition;
- Knowledge of Aderant Exert for billing will be advantageous; and
- Secretarial skills including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
