About the role
We are looking for a full time Florist from Tuesday to Saturday 7am - 3pm, in our Parkmore store who can also look after the retailing of our indoor plants.
The role will involve processing and merchandising stock as well as creating flower arrangements, assisting customers, and assisting other fresh produce staff. Ultimately this person will take responsibility for the flowers and indoor plants section of the store.
Specific duties include:
- Merchandising and creating exquisite visual displays
- Unpacking and prep of stock when it arrives
- Maintaining sink area, shelves, and storage in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Selecting and artfully arranging high quality Flower Arrangement for a wide variety of customers
- Conditioning flowers and foliage, correct storage, rotating stock and general care to extend shelf life.
- Assisting customers and processing transactions .
Training will be provided particularly for someone with Florist experience but who may have not had experience with indoor plants.
This is a creative role where you can develop the department to ensure the success and growth.
About the person
We are looking for a person with a keen interest in flowers, aptitude for retail merchandising as well as understanding and assisting customers in their requirements.
The successful candidate must have:
- Some experience as a Florist including arrangements, stock handling and merchandising - qualification not required but an advantage.
- Experience in a retail sales and customers service setting.
- Proven reliable work history in a successful team environment.
- A positive personality that enjoys retail team environment.
