AddressWe have an exciting position available for a Florist Supervisor to join our team at Tony's Flowers.
The Position
The Florist Supervisor will provide support and direction to staff within the team and be a key link between our Merchandising and Sales team. Along with general day to day duties of a Florist preparing, designing, and advising on floral arrangements our Florist Supervisor will:
- Arrange supply and storage of flowers, greenery, decorations and other items.
- Ensure compliance from staff with respect to floral bunch/bouquet guidelines.
- Select, trim and arrange flowers and greenery.
- Provide advice on to staff members and and assist in treating flowers to extend their life.
- Cascade from the National Sales Manager to Floristry staff on market trends, floral product updates, launches, events and promotions.
- Support and mentor team members, including merchandising team members.
- Coordinate and deliver training for team members ahead of events and cascade relevant changes and updates as directed.
- Assist in the set-up of all campaign and seasonal concepts
- Provide wholesale service to customers and accept payments.
- Provide advice on selection of flowers and arrangements and demonstrate sound understanding of seasonal variations and trends in the market.
About You
You will demonstrate a passion for floristry and have a keen eye for detail combined with:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Florist.
- Ability to assist and train current and new staff members and ensure compliance and consistency of floral products.
- Ability to foster a great team environment providing supervision and support to team members.
- Ability to channel your creativity into your everyday work and demonstrate a hands-on approach to the role.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with both colleagues and customers.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Outstanding organisational, time management and communication skills.
