This role involves the agricultural oversight of a native cutflower farm .
The role involves planning , organising, controlling, co-ordinating and performing planting, cultivating and harvesting activities to grow flowering and foliage plants.
Tasks include:
-planning and coordinating the production of crops from soil preparation to harvest taking into account environmental and market conditions
-maintaining crop production by cultivating, pruning, fertilising, irrigating
-directing and overseeing general farming activities to maintain optimal growing conditions
-identification and redress of maintenance issues involved in general farm husbandry
Suitable applicants will have experience in cut flower production and be comfortable in leading a team of up to 6 staff.
A suitable bachelor degree or equivalent is required for this position.
