Picnic is located at North Stores - a Architecturally designed, food, art, retail, event, and nature precinct set in a natural setting of landscaped gardens and tall ancient trees, in the heart of Tamborine Mountain.
Sustainability is top of mind, we use bio-compostable packaging, have on site a UV filtered fresh water supply, kitchen garden and mini fruit orchard, closed loop compost system managing food waste, bio-wastewater system, with solar planned.

Picnic Real Food Bar favours fresh quality local produce, seasonally changing menus to work with what is available regionally. Our menu offerings are entirely hand-made from scratch, created with loving care by our kitchen crew. We take great care to source ethically raised and sustainable proteins, and offer a range of healthy, wholefood, gluten-free and vegan options.
Everything is considered here, including the beverages. Reuben Hills micro roastery coffee, Byron Bay organic Mayde Tea, Buchi kombucha made with local organic ginger, cold pressed juices, local beers on tap, Australian natural wines.

THE ROLE
Seeking a experienced dynamic, vibrant like-minded hospitality professional :
- leadership skills
- warm, welcoming, relaxed, approachable manner
- excellent customer service, building rapport and growing trade
- managing, training and HR of our small team, upholding team culture
- work with owners to further develop business standards, systems, efficiency, and development of events
- work with head chef to improve systems, efficiency and monitor KPI's
- expertise in managing day-to-day operations, in a hands on capacity
- attention to detail in all elements of the hospitality industry
- food and safety knowledge
- POS management
- rostering, ordering, stock control, budgeting and general administration
- min 3yrs barista experience, latte art, maintaining coffee and grinder equipment (La Marzocco PB AV, EK43s, Anfim SP II, Puqpress)
- function and event management when required
- availability for occasional catering and pop-up dinner events
- wine knowledge an advantage
- values health and wellness
- ability to travel daily to Tamborine Mountain
TRADING HOURS
Wednesday to Sunday 8am–3pm. Remuneration negotiated based on skill level. Immediate start available.
