Purpose

As Food and Beverage Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our team, overseeing and managing the day-to-day front of house operations across beverage and dining services at Mugen House.

Primary Responsibilities

As Food and Beverage Assistant Manager, you will:

• drive exceptional customer service, product and presentation standards 
• train and oversee a team of Food and Beverage service staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable and professional 
• liaise with various departments (kitchen, owner, Marketing team, finance etc) to ensure that all aspects of the front of house operations at Mugen House are well coordinated and efficient.
• maintain compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills & Experience

• Proven track record of successfully managing Food & Beverage department within restaurant environment
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders at all levels
• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar management role
• RSA accreditation
• Confident decision maker and demonstrated ability to address and correct performance issues with front line staff
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift roster
• Fluent English and Japanese, and also well groomed
• Permanent Resident Visa Holder
