We are a small family-owned business specializing in packing and encapsulating food powders. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced person to oversee our production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Food Production, Quality Control, and team management. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to lead a small team to ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate all activities of the Food Production process, specifically focusing on the packing and encapsulation of food powders.
2. Manage a small team of staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback to ensure a high level of productivity and morale.
3. Implement and enforce Quality Control measures to ensure all food products meet or exceed health and safety regulations and our company's high standards.
4. Monitor and control inventory, ensuring adequate supplies are available for production while minimizing waste.
5. Develop and implement production schedules and deadlines.
6. Regularly inspect equipment and machinery to ensure proper function and adherence to safety standards.
7. Resolve any issues or delays in production in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Maintain accurate records of production, including data on food quantities produced, resources used, and Quality Control measures, using a suite of software.
9. Continually assess production processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and Quality.
10. Ensure a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Proven skills:
1. Proven experience in a supervisory role within the Food Production industry, ideally with experience in packing and encapsulating food powders.
2. Strong knowledge of Food Production processes and Quality Control measures.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards in the Food Production industry.
8. Ability to lift heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods.
