We have an exciting new opportunity for Food Services Assistants to work at our 60 bed Residential Aged Care facility at Cardiff Heights. Groves House is a warm and inviting home, with a great staff culture, we encourage learning and provide support to all our employees, to help them provide the best care for our residents.
These are permanent part-time positions, and you will work within a new, dynamic and efficient team. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who has a positive attitude and are passionate to work with the elderly. This is a great opportunity to work in a growing industry and in a rewarding role.
About the Role
As a new Food Services Assistant at CBCS, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in our residents' lives by delivering services in the kitchen and dining room. You will be a member of the food preparation team, assisting in the dining area, and whatever catering task needing completing to deliver an excellent service to our residents.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role assisting in the preparation and serving of meals (ideally in an aged-care or hospital environment)
- Commercial cookery, food handling (or similar) qualifications desirable
- Ability and willingness to assist with all food service duties
- Genuine and professional customer service skills, team player and well presented
- Flexible availability to work morning &/or afternoon shifts across the week in a permanent part time capacity
- An ability to provide a catering and kitchen service that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation
- Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards
- Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
License/Certification
- Police check (Preferred) through Pharmacy ID
- Immunization status – Covid 19
- Must have the right to work in Australia.
