The mission of SHM is to build people's capacity to participate more fully in community life, by addressing the underlying causes of deep, persistent disadvantage and social exclusion. They do this by: ensuring access to the necessities of food, clothing, housing, health care and specialised services, and listening, understanding and responding to people in a holistic, caring, and respectful way, so they can take control of their lives.
There are multiple shifts available: short morning or afternoon shifts and longer early morning or late-starting day shifts. Working in St Kilda, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the shops, cafes, restaurants and beaches that are all within walking distance, so if you choose a roster that includes either morning or afternoon shifts, you can make the most of the local community before or after your work day.
As an FSA, you will be responsible for ensuring the dining experience is welcoming, safe and comfortable for residents, dining rooms are well presented at all times, resident's individual dietary needs are met and food safety regulations are maintained. Your role may also include supporting the laundry service at the residence.
We will pay for your Police Check but you MUST HAVE: a Food Services-related qualification, current NDIS Workers Screening Check and 3x Covid & 2024 Flu vaccinations.
You must be available at least 3 days per week and after three months you will be expected to transition to a permanent role with SHM.
