Food Services Assistant - Tasmania

Your tasks will include:
- Providing our residents with memorable dining experiences to enhance their daily lives
- Assisting the chef in providing a high standard of food/catering services for residents in accordance with individual requirements and preference
- Be organised and keen to serve, you appreciate and respond to resident needs by listening and communicating well, escalating any concerns as needed, whilst ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.
- Completion of a Basic Food Handlers Certificate (preferred)
- An understanding of resident’s rights, OH&S and the Food Safety Act
- Experience in Food Services in Aged Care / Health (desired)
- Are known for your caring and compassionate nature
- Have the initiative and ability to work without supervision
- Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
- Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
- A current Working Vulnerable People card
- Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance
