Are you seeking a diverse Food Services role in a small rural Health Service?
We are looking for an experienced Food Services Assistant and/or Cook to join our Food Services team. If you are passionate about ensuring our residents and internal consumers receive high quality and nutritious food, you will fit into our team perfectly.
Up to full-time hours available.
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Have Food Services and cooking experience.
- Ability to work shifts, including some weekends.
- Hold an accredited Food Handlers Certificate.
- Good verbal, written and listening skills.
- Care about our consumers and the quality of their meals.
- Be able to assess and be flexible to our consumers’ needs.
- Be organised to meet deadlines and set priorities.
- Know how to follow procedures and processes.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality and privacy.
- Have positive attitude and commitment to the organisation.

The Yarram and District Health Service (YDHS) is based in Yarram, 220 kilometres southeast of Melbourne on the South Gippsland Highway in rural Victoria. Yarram is 73 kilometres southwest of Sale and 62 kilometres southeast of Traralgon.

Before commencement, the successful applicant will: provide a National Police Record Check – not older than twelve (12) months, an Employee Working with Children Check and complete a Pre-existing injury declaration form.
All successful applicants will need to have had and be able to provide evidence of three (3) doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and be willing to apply for or provide evidence of a NDIS Workers Screening Check.
