Working within the combined Technical team across the Macadamias Australia and Farmfresh Fine Foods businesses but principally focused on Macadamia confectionary and associated products. The role will be instrumental in creating a quality focus across departments that enables sustainable growth of the business including export.
Reporting to the Technical Manger.
Tasks include:
- Actively maintaining the Quality Management System within FSSC 22000 certification.
- Applying critical assessment of process to ensure optimum conditions to achieve exceptional Finished Product sensory quality.
- Monitoring incoming raw materials.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with Approved Suppliers.
- Working with the Sales/Marketing teams to develop new products for retail and/or export distribution.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements for all on-pack statements including Ingredients, Allergen declarations and Nutrition Panels.
Minimum requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications in food science.
- Minimum 5 years work experience as a Food Technologist.
- Experience in the Macadamia Kernel processing or value adding industry highly desirable.
- Culinary qualifications and/or experience with Chocolate and Sugar coating applications desirable
