About the role - We are seeking a suitably qualified, dynamic educator to fill the position of Food Technology & Humanities Teacher. This is a leave replacement position for Term 2, 2024. The successful applicant will be joining an established and dedicated team of teachers, focused on collaborative working practices, supported by outstanding Heads of Departments.
As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:
  • Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices
  • Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
  • Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
  • Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
  • Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate commitment to Excellence in Learning and Teaching through co-planning from the approved curriculum; teaching that provides opportunities for students to develop their love of learning; and a mind-frame of continuous improvement through dedicated feedback processes which includes explicit and visible differentiation and checking for understanding practices within classes.
A student focused mindset will be evident in the successful candidate’s ability to articulate their experience in working to create an environment where, in partnership with families, they have worked to support students to discover their spark, discover their strength and discover their spirit.
Experience working within a Responsible Thinking Process framework would be advantageous.
