DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Day in the life – what you will be responsible for
Working closely with members of AFLNT’s Game Development team, you will be responsible for delivering AFL programs in a professional and enthusiastic manner and considered manner.
• Assist to create a strategic overview and action plan for Bachar Houli NT deliverables including programs, events, and community engagement.
• Develop opportunities to expand AFL into new communities through ‘come and try’ events for multicultural students and adults.
• Build new relationships with key stakeholders to expand the presence of the AFL Northern Territory
Bachar Houli Foundation brand within the broader community
• Liaise with key school contacts to identify opportunities for engagement and to develop culturally appropriate school programs in areas with high Islamic representation.
• Host the Bachar Houli Schools Cup
• Provide clear development, high-performance and talent pathway opportunities for multicultural footballers.
• Assist in developing Diversity and Inclusion plans across community engagement, participation, and talent programs.
• Assist with social inclusion and cohesion partnerships including key cultural celebrations such as Host Bachar Houli Iftar dinner, Harmony Day, and NAIDOC week.
• Designing targeted community AFL game development programs for multicultural communities including Auskick, Juniors, Kinder Kick, and community football matches
• General administration includes participation reporting, redeeming sports vouchers, and tracking multicultural participation growth.
• Support the Game Development Team with other program and competition delivery.
• Support the broader AFLNT team in hosting events, AFL games and general business.
Job Requirements for this role:

SALARY
As the successful candidate, you will receive:
$30,000 – $40,000 plus 11% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification

- People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
