A fast track opportunity exists for a driven, enthusiastic foreman with experience from Tier 1,2,3 head contractors (Carpentry background); keen to succeed with an award -winning builder. This builder enjoys working on small to large scale projects in our NSW regional areas, this includes Orange, Wagga, Wollongong, Central Coast, Newcastle and surrounds.Projects range from $300k to $20 million and just before the Australia day long weekend they were awarded a string of "Social Housing projects" up to $5 million in regional Orange, Bathurst and Griffith, to help NSW with our current and ongoing Rental crisis. Other projects include - commercial retail, hospitality, recreational and local amenity upgrades composed of mixed New Build and Fit out aspects.
They pride themselves for their 5 day week, relaxed atmosphere, finer finish, and harmonious / humorous work culture. 2024, and they are trying to change how typical builders work and offer a more autonomous, and flexible work structure.
The successful person will have exposure to New Build Residential / Commercial Construction for a head contractor in Australia (enjoy working regionally), a trade tertiary background (carpentry), drive, accountability and proactive attitude.
The Role:
Recently awarded a Social Housing project in Orange, you will have exposure to similar projects and be responsible for helping the daily operations of a busy site. In particular, pushing the trades, interpreting plans, supervising partitioning walls,panelling and general supervision.
Duties:
- Supervision / coordination of trades, site personnel and subcontractors.
- Documenting site activity
- Compliance and monitoring of WHS
- Ensuring carpentry works are being carried out in accordance to plans.
- Working closely with the Foreman to review the status of the project.
- Requirements:
- Setting out Experience
- Experience complying with WHS
- High communication skills and attention to detail
- Be hungry to fast track up the ranks in a bustling environment.
- Full driver's licence.
Criteria:
- You will be trade or tertiary qualified in Carpentry / Joinery.
- You will be highly motivated and ambitious with drive and passion in a leadership capacity.
- 4 years experience working on Commercial /New Build and Fit out projects.
- Confident and looking to exceed in all facets of your work. Delivering on time and on Budget.
- Exceptional Communication skills
- A "can do" positive attitude and confidence.
- Good management approach.
- Enthusiastic and keen for the opportunity
