What does the job look like?

As the Site Transport Manager at our Auburn site, you will be responsible for the safe and cost-effective management of transportation. Your role involves ensuring we meet our commitment to customers through quality service and operational efficiency.

In collaboration with our team, your decisions will prioritise safety, service, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with customers and subcontracting companies to achieve and exceed operational and financial targets. This role operates Monday to Friday. Key responsibilities include:

• Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring adherence to Safety, COR, and Quality standards at all times.
• Focusing on compliance, driving improvements and innovation, and managing subcontractors.
• Effectively managing, collaborating with, and developing direct reports and drivers to enhance efficiency.
• Analysing equipment and operations to optimise resource utilisation, route planning, and subcontractor management.
• Ensuring superior service offerings through proactive relationship management and commitment to meeting contracted KPIs.
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for continuous improvement.

This role requires a collaborative manager with experience in the transport industry. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a background in leadership, commercial acumen, and operational decision-making. You should demonstrate:

• Previous experience in the logistics sector.
• Experience managing personnel in a road routing transport operation.
• Ability to lead and develop a high-performance team confidently.
• Understanding of financial drivers and cost control.
