About the role
This position is located in Osborne Park, WA, where our client has opened up a brand-new Showroom and Distribution Centre. As this is a new location for our client, you will enjoy working in a small team where the dynamic is family-like.
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible of managing the receiving and dispatching of furniture stock across the country. You will be required to operate both counterbalance and high reach forklifts. There will be times where you may need to assist with other warehouse duties such as pick packing, using the RF Scanning system.
You are responsible of the unloading and loading processes, ensuring there are minimal errors in shipments. You will be working a 38 hour week Monday - Friday, as a permanent employee with the potential of paid overtime. Our client is looking for people who are willing to go that extra mile whilst performing the following core responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Pallet wrapping
- Counterbalance and High Reach forklift operations
- Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed
- Manual Handling skills within warehouse environment
- Have the ability to lift up to 25kg regularly
About you
To be successful, you will bring:
- Prior experience operating both counterbalance and high reach forklifts
- Current forklift ticket
- Picking experience using RF Scanning systems
- Highly organized and self motivated
- A positive work attitude
