With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol and sustainable agricultural products.
Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
Job Vacancy
We are seeking applications for a Forklift Operator to join the team at Wilmar's Plane Creek Mill in Sarina. This is a seasonal role which offers day work during the week, and some overtime as required. This role runs from June to the end of November.
The Successful Applicant
Main duties include but are not limited to:
- The safe operation of mobile plant including the safe handling of materials
- Servicing and general upkeep of all mobile plant in responsibility area
- Ensure that machines are operated within workplace health and safety guidelines
- Work safely and be responsible for the safety of others in work area
- Unloading and loading of trucks
- Movements of materials around the site
- Ability to operate an end loader on an as needs basis
Essential Criteria
- High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF)
Desirable Criteria
- Loader ticket
