About the role:
We are a small family business that has been operating for more than 20 years, selling kitchenware and hospitality supplies.
As a Forklift Operator and Storeperson, you will play a key role in receiving incoming deliveries, checking, storing and moving products throughout the store. You will also assist our team with providing our customers with the best shopping experience every time they visit.
What's involved:
- Unloading products using a forklift or manual hand unload.
- Stock management in both the storeroom and on the shop floor.
- Picking and packing customer orders in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and presentable store.
- Providing customers with the best experience across the store, which includes helping customers with their purchases to their cars, assisting with loading if needed, and delivering orders to nearby stores with a hand trolley.
Who we're looking for:
You are reliable, highly organized, with strong attention to detail and enjoy helping others. You work will focus on forklift operation, inventory management and customer service.
Given the nature of this role, we require you to be physically fit for manual handling, loading and unloading boxes and to stand for long periods of time.
You have:
- A current valid forklift licence.
- An approachable attitude and the ability confidently interact with customers.
- Integrity and a safe and strong work ethic.
Previous experience in a retail environment will be highly regarded, but not essential. More importantly, you have the enthusiasm to learn and work collaboratively with all team members. Immediate start for the right candidate.
