AddressElecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
The Role:
Elecnor has a highly rewarding opportunity for skilled Formwork Carpenters to work on the largest substation in the Southern Hemisphere, based near Mildura, VIC.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Minor foundations work
- Install Concrete plinths
- Formwork & stripping
- Steel reinforcement installations
- Concrete work and grouting
This is a full time permanent fixed term contract until the end of 2025, on a FIFO or DIDO basis, working 10 hour days on a 3/1 roster. Travel, accommodation and meals are all included.
What you will need for this role:
- White Card
- Australian drivers license
- Relevant Trade Qualification/License
- High Risk work license
- Operating tickets highly advantageous
- Minimum 4 years experience in similar role - FIFO/Renewables/Substations
- Full Australian work rights
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
