Formwork Carpenter – Based in Moorabbin Vic

Vigorously growing building firm, operating across the construction market, has retained recruiters Kogan People Solutions to work with them to find a skilled qualified Formwork Carpenter. The job is a full-time salaried role and is ongoing.

The work here is varied and therefore very engaging.

Location (work base)Moorabbin Vic (and the work will take you across the metro area, and as necessary, beyond).

Role responsibilities will include

• Read and adhere to all safety requirements and SWMS (safe work methods)
• Read drawings and specifications to identify formwork and temporary work requirements.
• Building and constructing drainage
• Install and position horizontal and vertical formwork components including drilling and installing hold down bolts and fasteners to walls/floors where required
• Assemble formwork panels on-site including installation of metal props, brackets, and clamps
• Strip formwork using physical and mechanical means
• Working at heights
• Working off EWP’s, scissor lifts and scaffolding
• Working with and around chemicals such as form oils, curing agents, epoxys, sealants, mortar, and grout
• Working with a sense of camaraderie and pride

To be successfully considered for this role applicants must be able to demonstrate

• Well-developed industry knowledge of Building and Construction (we’re seeking someone with at least 2 to 3, or more, years of post-training experience)
• Competency in completing decks (start to finish), beams, vertical in-situ elements such as columns, walls, downturns; be familiar with stair form;
• Ability to read and interpret drawings;
• Demonstrated strong commitment to working safely and productively;
• Current Driver’s license;
• Certificate III/ IV in a suitable field, or agreed equivalent;
• Holds all necessary cards and tickets;
• Attention to Detail and all necessary documentation
• Problem-Solving Skills;
• Customer Service Skills
• Critical: unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia
