Job description:
- Construct, assemble, and dismantle formwork structures according to project specifications and requirements.
- Ensure precise alignment and proper installation of formwork components to support concrete pouring.
- Install and secure steel reinforcement bars (rebars) within formwork structures to reinforce concrete and enhance structural integrity.
- Follow engineering drawings and specifications to accurately position and secure rebars.
- Assist in the installation of precast concrete panels, including lifting, positioning, and securing panels in place.
- Ensure proper alignment and coordination with other construction activities.
- Assist in excavation activities, including digging, trenching, and grading, to prepare sites for concrete placement and construction activities.
- Install and maintain retention systems, such as retaining walls and barriers, to support soil and prevent erosion.
- Ensure proper installation and structural stability of retention systems in accordance with project requirements.
- Inspect formwork, steel reinforcement, and concrete placement to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and address any defects or deficiencies in construction materials or workmanship.
Qualifications/Attributes:
- Must hold a Certificate III in Carpentry or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the qualification.
- Must possess at least a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Must be a White Card holder.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, and measuring devices.
- Excellent physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
