Role Overview
Reporting into the FP&A Manager, this FP&A Analyst will partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial and analytical support in relation to the group's business performance and future growth strategies.
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial analysis and operational recommendations to the Business Unit and Leadership team. In addition, they will work closely with stakeholders in providing detailed and accurate budgeting and forecasting with variance analysis allowing the leadership a clear view of the business unit's performance and opportunities for growth and improvement. On a day-to-day basis, this FP&A Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of weekly and monthly management reports summarising operating results. From a reporting perspective, this FP&A Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly P&L and Balance sheet results for their Business Unit.
Responsibilities
- Reporting, analysis and commentary of monthly management results
- Drive Budgeting & forecasting for various Business units
- Deliver financial and commercial insights to support decision-making
- Demonstrate commercial and financial acumen, risk management and operational efficiency
- Partner with the financial accounting team and contribute to overall financial control
- Maintain integrity and operational effectiveness of reporting systems, tools and financial models
- Ad-hoc analysis that will occur to support the senior leadership decision-making process
Candidate Profile
You are highly energetic and analytical in your thinking, wishing to be in a critical role driving performance for a business. You are Commerce or Accounting qualified and have completed your CA or CPA. With a strong understanding and ownership experience of a multi-site budgeting and forecasting process. Ideally coming out of a retail or FMCG organisation you will have exposure to a complex matrix organisation. With exceptional communication skills that you leverage in shaping positive working relationships, you are flexible in working through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. A passion for continuous improvement and taking things to the next level is at the core of who you are. Your stakeholder engagement skills will ensure your success.
