Investment Analyst
State Super operates to invest, support and administer superannuation schemes worth approximately $38 billion, on behalf of the NSW Government and associated employers.
We are looking for a suitable qualified Investment Analyst to join our Investment team. You will be responsible for identifying risks and opportunities in the market and translating these into actionable recommendations. You will play a crucial role in supporting the team by conducting in-depth research, analysing financial data and providing recommendations in support of our investment strategies.
Alongside your day-to-day tasks, you will also be given opportunities to:
Conduct research analysis on various investment themes, market segments or asset classes, where you can display your strong writing and presentations skills, with the opportunity to present your ideas/recommendations directly to management.
Participate in managers meetings and involvement in manager search and recommendations.
Participate in quarterly asset allocation decision processes and implementations, and asset class reviews.
Manage ad-hoc projects that may be investment or non-investment in nature and collaborate with other teams in the organisation.
Learn from a team of experts who specialise in different investment areas to broaden your own scope and knowledge.
We are looking for someone with 2-5 years of experience who is a logical thinker, has a can- do attitude and is eager to learn from us. Ideally you are someone who is confident and work well independently but can also collaborate well with other team members. At the same time you are someone who wants to develop their knowledge and skills in the superannuation field. A high level of excel skills is a must with python knowledge desirable.
