- APS 6 Equivalent $60 + p/h + super
- Up to 12 months temporary assignment, pending business and performance requirements.

About the role
As an APS6 Fraud Investigator, your responsibilities will include:
- Utilise a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or its equivalent to conduct complex and sensitive criminal investigation activities in accordance with the departments processes and Australian Government Investigation Standards.
- Conduct interviews, prepare statements and affidavits, collect, secure, and manage evidential material and confidential information.
- Prepare cases and briefs of evidence for referral to relevant parties such as the Australian Federal Police and Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
- Provide evidence in criminal and civil court as a representative of the agency.
- Analyse and process information to produce accurate and informative reports, undertaking administration, reporting, and project work as required.
- Conduct formal and informal discussions with agency staff, partners, partner agencies, participants, providers, and third parties.
- Assist with the execution of search warrants, potentially involving domestic air travel, overnight stays, and extended working hours.
- Other duties as required.
About You
To thrive in this role, you need:
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent.
- High-level interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.
- Experience in conducting interviews, preparing statements, and managing evidential material.
- Ability to analyse and process information to produce accurate reports.
- Experience in conducting formal and informal discussions with partner agencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in providing evidence in criminal and/or civil court.
- Experience in preparing briefs of evidence.
- Available for travel where needed.
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Be able to pass and hold national police check and worker screening check.
