- The Department of Education seeks a VPSG4 Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer to support the department's FOI Unit to process requests in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act).
FOI Officers are responsible for coordinating document searches, liaising with FOI applicants, making relevant enquiries and assessing documents for release under the FOI Act.
FOI Officers may also provide support to the Executive and Ministerial Services Branch from time to time.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- to understand and interpret legislation
- excellent attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- the ability to work with as part of a team
- excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively, and
- strong verbal and written communication skills.'
