About the role:
We have an exciting vacancy for a Health Information Officer to join our team at DHSV. This role will be a casual role with lots of available hours and flexibility.
You will be responsible for providing accurate record keeping and access to patient records across the Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne (RDHM). This role reports to the Manager, Health Information Services (HIS). You will be partaking in the digitalisation and archiving of medical records and Health Information, held by Dental Health Services Victoria.

Responsibilities include:
- Partaking in the digitalisation of medical records programs of work.
- Quality checking Health Information in both scanned and paper-based form.
- Sequencing and categorising Health Information in preparation for scanning.
- Collecting Health Information from hospital departments, ensuring privacy is maintained during transportation to HIS.
- Update and maintain electronic location of records and Health Information.
About you:
- Great communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in managing and resolving, customer queries and issues.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills, and a flexible attitude.
- Proficient in MS Office suite of programs with high level of accuracy with word processing and data entry.
- Experience in collecting files and ensuring privacy of records.
- Experience in updating and maintain electronic location of records.
