Role & Venue:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a restaurant service specialist to join the management team within The Plate Restaurant. You will be a key member who drives the success of the venue. The Plate was recently awarded a Chef’s Hat for delivering consistently outstanding food, drinks & service in its first year. You will be joining & strengthening a dynamic team with a wealth of industry experience on their way to the top.
The Plate Restaurant is a 170-seat restaurant with a bar & micro-brewery which is also part of a larger business that includes an artisan butcher, boutique bottle shop & drive-thru coffee shop. Our culinary team produce some of the best food in the region using some of the best produce available. Our wine and spirit list house some eclectic hard to source bottles, many of which are sourced directly from cellar door & distilleries. Our in-house butchery dry-ages meat and slices boutique salumi for exclusive use within the restaurant. What other venue can boast that?
About you:

You will be a key part of the financial success of the venue. You will have a clear budget where you will drive beverage cogs, wages, revenue & expenditure, meeting weekly in a management capacity and daily with your team to keep us on track, successfully meeting targets.

- Immaculate personal presentation and grooming
- A genuine love, interest & knowledge of exceptional food, wine & cocktails
- Engaging personal presence with outstanding verbal communication and presentation skills
- Qualifications in hospitality & business highly desirable
- Empathy of team member & guest needs
- A talent for customer service with a vibrant and outgoing nature
- Experience in a fine dining operation looked on favorably
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate essential and RMLV desired
- Ability to adapt to the company culture & values and using in your day-to-day
- Able to write shift reports and communicate with all other departments within the business
Benefits:
The Plate operates Wednesday to Sunday – 12pm until 10pm. This is a full-time salaried position.
