The Front of House Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our front-of-house dining areas with the assistance of the FOH Supervisors. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Oversee all front-of-house operations, including restaurant booking management, customer service and staff supervision, to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
- Train, mentor and supervise Front-of-house staff to a maintain high service standards and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise table turnover, maximise revenue, and enhance guest satisfaction levels.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, liquor licensing regulations and occupational health and safety requirements at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues and exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food and beverage service, manage reservations and ensure timely delivery of orders.
- With assistance from the FOH Supervisors, monitor inventory levels, process stocktake for the procurement team to order.
- Work with the HR Department to conduct performance reviews and training sessions to foster teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement within the front-of-house team.
Our ideal candidate would have:
- A current RSA – This is a must!
- Approved Manager Certificate & Card – This is a must!
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Front of House Manager
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS Systems.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, menu offerings and industry trends.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise tasks and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Available on a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends and evenings.
