ABOUT THE ROLE
As our next superstar Supports Specialist Assistant, you will be assisting our Lead Supports Specialist & Support Specialist Team with managing & coordinating the finer details of our disability support services to our valued QSSS Clients.
Working FROM HOME, this role is extremely varied so ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure is key & is best suited to someone who thrives on variety in their work. You will be assisting administratively with everything from screening new client enquiries, to assisting with support worker recruitment, right through to visiting our Clients when they need assistance with interviewing new Support Workers or require a review in their home.
Experience in the disability industry and some working knowledge of NDIS plans & funding is desirable, but most importantly, we are looking for someone that has initiative, common sense, personality and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of people with a disability.
The ideal Supports Specialist Assistant is someone who loves helping people, is tech savvy, can establish routines to work efficiently through a variety of daily tasks and loves collaborating & communicating with a high performing team. We need people who can problem solve, think on the fly, are able to make wise decisions and are extremely adaptable (if you need a flow chart to do your job, this may not be the opportunity for you).

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist our Supports Specialist team to provide effective coordination of disability support services to QSSS Clients
- Screening of new client enquiries and booking of appointments with our National Supports Specialist
- Assist with timely & quality recruitment of support staff for QSSS Clients including writing and posting recruitment ads, completing recruitment screens, reference checks & assisting with onboarding new staff
- Assist Supports Specialist Team with Client rosters, support worker timesheets & vacant shift fills
- Work under general guidance from our Lead Supports Specialist within clearly defined NDIS Guidelines & QSSS Protocols
- Occasional home visits to QSSS Clients as directed by our Supports Specialist Team to assist with administration when onboarding new clients or reviewing supports services
- Build & maintain meaningful relationships with Clients, community and relevant stakeholders
- Assist with relevant client administrative tasks such as but not limited to; Client profiles, data collection, supervision touch points, support plan documentation & reporting
- Contribute to team meetings including client planning, recruitment & new enquiry meetings
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST

- Have a suitable home office work area with stable internet is essential (this is a full time working FROM HOME opportunity) - we will provide you with the equipment
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with people of all backgrounds and demographics
- Be relatable, reliable and show high quality rapport building abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be adaptable and have a positive approach to change
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Emails and PowerPoint essential
- QLD Drivers licence & vehicle for transport
- Experience with Tanda & Microsoft Teams (desirable)
