We are a dynamic and innovative healthcare technology company dedicated to improving patient care through the development of cutting-edge medical applications. Our latest project involves creating a centralized app for managing medical investigations from various laboratories and imaging centers, streamlining the process for healthcare professionals and enhancing patient experience.

This startup addresses a problem that so many Medical Doctors, including myself, are extremely frustrated by. For example, patients have had bloods or an x-ray recently but can't remember where and doctors have to either spend ages chasing it up or just repeat the investigations which also costs money.

Position Overview:

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developers to join our team and contribute to the development of our centralized medical investigation app. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing both the frontend and backend components of the app, ensuring its functionality, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and healthcare professionals to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design and develop responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using modern web technologies such as React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Build robust and scalable backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB or other suitable databases.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure access to patient data and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Integrate with external APIs and systems for data exchange and interoperability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct thorough testing, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to ensure the reliability and performance of the app.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and maintain the app in a production environment, monitoring its performance and resolving any issues that arise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in frontend and backend development.
• Proficiency in frontend frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js, along with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of backend technologies including Node.js, Express.js, and databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare or medical software development.
• Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations such as HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, or GDPR.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

Location:

The position is based in Sydney, NSW, with the possibility of remote work or hybrid arrangements.
