Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

MaxMine is looking for a mid to senior level Full Stack Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. This established, cross-functional team works closely with our customers and partners with internal platform teams to build workflows that improve productivity, safety and energy efficiency outcomes on mine sites.

You’ll get to work with a range of modern web technologies, primarily with React, Python and GoLang. Our products are built atop a modern developer platform that includes Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS.

About you

You have demonstrated experience in building user experiences with React and you either have already established backend skills or are looking for an opportunity to develop those skills. You have a growth mindset, and will broaden your skill set working alongside existing senior team mates.

Responsibilities

• Work with your cross functional team to discover and deliver new use cases
• Work with our support team to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

You have

• 3+ years of experience building software in a commercial environment
• Demonstrated software engineering fundamentals
• A track record of building user experiences using React
• Experience building across the Full Stack
• Experience working with relational databases, e.g PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

These would be a bonus

• Experience working in a fast moving SaaS business
• Experience working with Python
• Exposure working in a containerised developer platform in a cloud environment

Our Technology

We work with a range of technologies across the full spectrum of dev-ops and data-science. Our platform is based on;

• React, backed by Python and Go Microservices
• AWS Cloud / Terraform
• Kubernetes (AWS EKS), ArgoCD
• Apache Kafka, Apache Flink and MQTT streaming
• Snowflake, dbt, and Dagster orchestration

You don’t need to know all of the above, but need to be willing and able to learn. There is also scope to bring new technologies to our platform team where they fit within our existing technology and can demonstrate business value.

MaxMine is an automated business improvement product which performs advanced analytics and data science on mining operational data to deliver significant cost savings and productivity gains to global miners, with the aim of accelerating the sustainability of humanity’s scarce resources. We apply engineering science and mathematics to operational data that we collect with our hardware. We store and analyse this data via our cloud platform and deliver results straight into client’s operations.
